Condominium Market In Bow, New Hampshire Still Sleeping

The first quarter of 2009 brought one condo sale in Bow at 4 Holly Circle. The listed price was $339,000 and sale price was $322,500. April brought another sale at 4 Bow Center Road, selling at full asking price, $263,500. As of this posting there were no sales pending so this does not offer much hope for an increase in sales in May.
There are currently 38 condominiums available for sale in Bow with an average asking price of $301,710 and a median price of $299,900. Average market time is over a year. Bow condo pricing ranges from $179,900 up to $384,900.
Bow’s Unique Condominium Market May Be Responsible For Slower Sales
There are currently only five condo complexes in the town and all are designated as 55+ (restricted to active adults) except one, Bow’s newest complex, Bow Highlands which is for all ages.
The active adult complexes include Cottages at Windchimes, The Cottages At White Rock, The Pines of Bow and Stone Sled Farm. The first condominiums were built in Bow around 2002, The Cottages at Windchimes, which offers 30 detached condominiums with first floor master bedrooms and baths.
The Pines of Bow offers 26 detached condominium homes with three different floor plans.
The Cottages At White Rock are more unique in that they offer independent living apartment-style condominium homes as well as cottages. You will also find a library, community rooms, wellness center, dining room, exercise room and transportation here.
Stone Sled Farm broke ground in 2006 with 42 upscale duplex and detached homes. You will find incredible views of the Merrimack Valley and White Mountains at Stone Sled Farm.
Bow Highlands is the most recent condo complex being built in Bow with 42 Energy Star rated townhouse-style homes by award winning Cobb Hill Construction. This complex also offers impressive views and is situated on over 50 acres. Prices range from $179,900 up to $247,900.
Active adult retirement communities in Bow, NH offer attractive condominiums with a broad array of amenities, a variety of activities, recreational opportunities and a close senior neighborhood. Homeowner’s association fees usually cover property and ground maintenance, and may also include amenities like a club house, banquet rooms, golf courses, spas, swimming pools, crafts centers, basketball courts, libraries, hiking trails and a lot more.
Bow retirement communities usually have a minimum age requirement of 55, with at least one member of the household qualifying. Some communities have a minimum occupant age of 62 or older; age and other criteria vary greatly from one community to another. Other things you may want to consider are location, quality of services and amenities and affordability.
