Homes Sold For Average Of 96 Percent Of Asking Price In Keene In March

keene-nh While the national news paints a broad stroke on the real estate woes of the country here in the Monadnock region the news is not all bad. The crocuses have sprouted, the robins have returned and the buyers are beginning to buy here in the Keene area.

From March 1 through March 31st, the sellers of 21 residential properties have entered into sales contracts here in Keene with an additional 64 sellers also entering into sales contracts on their residential homes in the surrounding communities.

During this same time period 12 residential homes were sold in Keene and 27 within the county.  The average days on the market were 142 which is actually 26 days shorter than in March of 2008 which averaged 168.  The good news is that in Keene, residential homes are selling at 96% of their list price with residential homes within the county selling at 94% of their list price. There are currently 90 homes for sale in Keene.
