Rye New Hampshire Housing Market Report for May 2008
There were seven home sales last month in Rye, which was a slight increase in transaction volume over 2007. The average sale price of homes in Rye last month was $478,929 down more than 70% from May 2007 when there were five sales with an average sales price of $1,686,700. These numbers aren’t as bad as they seem at first glance as the sale of an oceanfront home in Rye set a record last May. Adjusting the record sale out brought last May’s average home sales price in Rye to $445,580.
The high end may see a glimpse of hope in the coming months – there were seven pending sales reported last month with an average listing price of $1,236,414.
